  • Working volume range?

    Which vessel would you like for your fermentation kit?
    Since the vessels are easy to exchange, you may also choose different vessels for just one fermentation kit.
    Tips: Small vessel = better control = better result. Vessel in continuous mode = up to 10 × volume

    * Tubing made of silicone or other material with similar elasticity (internal diameter 0.5 to 4 mm, wall thickness ~ 1 mm). Programming is important only if the pump is used as a stand-alone instrument.
  • pH-control

    Do you need to control the pH by base? and / or
    Do you need to control the pH by acid? or
    Do you need to control the pH by CO2?
    Dou you need to know the amount of base and / or acid added to the broth as a function ot time?
    The software of each MINIFOR offers all possibilities. But you choose, if you need the pumps (LAMBDA PRECIFLOW) and / or MASSFLOW for the parameter control. The added tools can also be used as stand-alone instruments for other laboratory tasks. You may also order the MINIFOR without additional tools and add them later according the technical specification of your project.
  • pO2-control or gas flow control

    Do you need the pO2 probe for the measurement of dissolved oxygen?
    Do you need automatic gas mixing module (Gas station)?
    Do you need to know the amount of each gas added to the broth as a function of time?
    The software of each MINIFOR offers the pO2 and the gas flow control. One MASSFLOW for aeration is already incorporated to the MINIFOR. But you choose, if you need pO2 probe and / or further MASSFLOWs for the gas-mix. You may also order the MINIFOR without additional tools and add them later according the technical specification of your project.
  • What is your required temperature range? °C

    MINIFOR is equipped with a temperature probe (PT100) incorporated in the pH probe. Infrared radiation (IR) is used for heating. No hot surfaces are used and therefore no local overheating occurs. The IR allows a very precise temperature controls and even temperature shifts are controlled without overshooting the set point. The cooling system is optional: Cooling Finger (Peltier principle – no cooling water needed) or Cooling Loop (cooling water needed).
  • Do you work with shearing force sensitive cells?

    MINIFOR is also a bioreactor and therefore it can be equipped with FISH TAIL stirrer plates instead of common stirrer plates. FISH TAIL creates low sheering forces but stays effective in mixing. The stirrer plates are included for each unit, but you may choose the type of your project.
  • Do you need automatic foam detection and antifoam system?

    MINIFOR can be equipped with the optional ANTIFO and DOZITO, the automatic antifoam system with syringe pump.
  • Do you need the data storage and/or remote control for the fermentor on your PC?

    (The MINIFOR is equipped with a control panel which shows all set-points, actual values and alert limits at one glance without scrolling. No PC and additional software is necessary to control the MINIFOR. In case of data storage, remote control and visualization / comparison of parallel running MINIFORs, the optional PC software is required.)
